Kasba   (jazz, reggae, rock, worldmusic)

Kasba plays a mix of North African music and Western music and is one of the leading groups in the non-Western music in the Netherlands. Kasba also reached a number one hit in Morocco and the band was nominated for several awards in the Netherlands such as “Best Dutch world music group. The group collaborated internationally with a lot of well known artists and the music from the group was used in several movies. The group became well known in 2002 after they played at the wedding of king Willem Alexander of The Netherlands, a concert that was broadcasted in 64 countries worldwide.

Shows all around the world

The last three years the group performed in well known venues as el Teatro Mayor in Bogota, Colombia, Ollin Kan festival in Mexico, the prestigious Raï festival of Oujda, Morocco , The royal theatre Carré and the Royal Concert Hall of Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Kasba plays shows in theatres as well as big festival venues and is well known for their musical and energetic appearance. The new Kasba album Rwina was recently recorded in which the group combines musicality and energy in a fabulous and sparkling mix. The album was released in the spring of 2015. In 2015 the band played some of the major Dutch festivals like Lowlands Festival, Zwarte Cross and they were the headliner and closing act at Festival Mundial in Tilburg. They also toured Ireland during the summer of 2015 and they opened the Uitmarkt Amsterdam in Paradiso Amsterdam.
